Content Calendar: Plan 30 Days of Content in One Click

Generate complete multi-day content plans with titles, captions, hashtags, and posting times — tailored to your topics, platforms, and brand voice.

Consistency is the #1 predictor of social media growth. Accounts that post regularly outperform those that post sporadically — every algorithm rewards consistency. But planning a week (let alone a month) of content is overwhelming. What do you post on Tuesday? What about Friday? How do you keep things fresh without repeating yourself?

PostDart's Content Calendar solves this by generating a complete, multi-day content plan in seconds. You provide the topics, platforms, duration, and tone — the AI handles everything else.

What the Content Calendar Generates

For every single day in your chosen duration, the AI produces a complete content brief:

  • Title — A catchy, platform-optimized headline that grabs attention
  • Description — An engaging 2–4 sentence caption ready to copy and post, with appropriate hashtags woven in naturally
  • Hashtags — 5–8 curated hashtags balancing reach (high-volume) and relevance (niche-specific)
  • Target Platform — Which platform the content is best suited for, based on the topic and format
  • Content Type — Whether the post works best as an image, video, carousel, text post, or Story
  • Recommended Posting Time — Based on general platform best practices for that day of the week
  • Each entry is a standalone, actionable content brief — you could copy it directly into the Post editor and publish it as-is.

    Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Step 1. Open AI Studio from the sidebar and select the Content Calendar tab.

Step 2. Add your content topics. Type a topic in the input field and press Enter to add it. The more specific your topics, the better the output:

  • Good: "product launches", "customer testimonials", "behind the scenes", "industry tips", "team spotlights"
  • Too vague: "stuff", "posts", "content"
  • Ideal: 3–5 topics gives the AI enough variety without being overwhelming
  • Step 3. Select your target platforms by clicking the platform icons. The AI tailors content format, length, and hashtag strategy for each platform.

    Step 4. Choose a duration:

  • 3 days — Quick planning for the next few days
  • 5 days — A business week of content
  • 7 days — The most popular option. A full week planned in one shot.
  • 14 days — Two weeks for those who like to plan ahead
  • 30 days — A full month. Perfect for quarterly planning sessions.
  • Step 5. Pick a tone that matches your brand voice:

  • Professional (💼) — Corporate, authoritative, polished. Best for B2B brands, consulting, finance
  • Casual (😎) — Relaxed, conversational, approachable. Best for lifestyle, food, personal brands
  • Humorous (😄) — Fun, entertaining, meme-aware. Best for entertainment, youth-focused brands
  • Inspirational (✨) — Motivating, uplifting, aspirational. Best for fitness, coaching, personal development
  • Educational (📚) — Informative, tutorial-style, value-packed. Best for SaaS, tech, knowledge-based businesses
  • Step 6. Click Generate Content Calendar.

Step 7. Review the results, displayed as a day-by-day timeline. Each day shows all the generated fields. Click Copy on any individual entry, or Copy All to grab the entire calendar.

    Using the Calendar Effectively

Generating the calendar is step one — here's how to turn it into actual published content:

    The Sunday Batch Workflow:

  • Generate a 7-day calendar on Sunday evening
  • For each day, open the Post editor and paste the caption
  • Upload or create matching media (use the Image Prompt Generator if you need visuals)
  • Schedule each post for the recommended time (or use Smart Schedule data for personalized times)
  • You now have a full week of content scheduled in under an hour
  • The Daily Workflow:

  • Generate a 3-day calendar each morning
  • Publish today's post immediately after adding media
  • Schedule tomorrow's post
  • Leave day 3 as a draft to finalize tomorrow
  • The Monthly Planning Workflow:

  • Generate a 30-day calendar at the start of each month
  • Use it as a content roadmap, not a rigid script
  • Each week, review the upcoming 7 days and adjust/refine as needed
  • This gives you a high-level strategic plan while maintaining flexibility
  • Customizing the Output

The AI generates a solid starting point, but the best content always has a human touch. Here's how to customize effectively:

Swap platforms: If the AI suggests a "customer testimonial" for Facebook but you know your testimonials perform better on Instagram, move it.

Adjust timing: Cross-reference the recommended posting times with your Smart Schedule data for more personalized timing.

Add personal stories: The AI can't know your personal experiences. Where the calendar suggests a "behind the scenes" post, add a real anecdote from your week.

Update hashtags: The AI provides a solid hashtag foundation, but add trending or event-specific hashtags that are relevant to your week (e.g., #BlackFriday, #WorldCupFinal).

Change content types: If the AI suggests a video but you only have a great photo, adapt the caption for an image post instead.

    Topic Ideas by Industry

Not sure what topics to input? Here are proven combinations by industry:

E-commerce: product features, customer reviews, unboxing, behind the scenes, seasonal promotions, styling tips, shipping updates

SaaS/Tech: feature spotlights, customer stories, industry trends, how-to tutorials, team culture, product updates, comparison posts

Restaurants: daily specials, chef stories, ingredient sourcing, customer photos, seasonal menus, cooking tips, event announcements

Fitness: workout tips, transformation stories, nutrition advice, gym culture, equipment reviews, motivational quotes, community challenges

Agencies: case studies, client wins, industry insights, team introductions, process reveals, tool recommendations, trend analysis

Combining with Other AI Studio Tools

The Content Calendar works best as part of a complete AI workflow:

  • Smart Schedule → Run first to find optimal posting times, then schedule calendar entries at those times
  • Content Writer → For each calendar entry that needs an image, upload the photo and use Content Writer to refine the caption
  • Image Prompt Generator → When a calendar entry needs a visual you don't have, generate an AI image prompt and create it
  • Auto Reply → As published posts generate comments, use Auto Reply to keep engagement high
  • Pro Tips

Use broad topics for more variety. "Marketing" generates more diverse content than "email marketing A/B testing." You can always narrow down when creating the actual post.

Regenerate individual days. If day 4 doesn't fit, don't regenerate the whole calendar — just edit that day manually or run a new 1-day generation.

Keep a running topic list. Maintain a simple note of content ideas as they occur to you. When it's calendar generation time, you'll have a rich list of topics to feed the AI.

Don't be a robot. The calendar is a guide, not a script. If something newsworthy happens in your industry on Wednesday, scrap Wednesday's planned post and create something timely instead. The best social media accounts balance planned content with reactive content.

    Availability

Content Calendar is available on Pro, Business, and Lifetime plans. Free plan users can access the AI Chat Assistant for content brainstorming, but the full calendar generation requires a paid plan.
